Dr. Shweta Mokadam
MBBS, DNB (Ophth), FICO, FLVPEI
Dr. Shweta Mokadam completed her MBBS from Government Medical college, Nagpur.
She went on to pursue her post graduate degree in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She secured the highest marks in DNB Ophthalmology in India and was awarded the G. Venkataswamy gold medal, named after Dr G Venkataswamy, the founder of Aravind group of eye hospitals in Tamil Nadu. This was at the hands of Mr. R. R. Patil, home minister of India at that time.
She was also declared the best outgoing post graduate student from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and awarded a gold medal for the same.
She later joined the world class L V Prasad Eye Institute at Hyderabad for a fellowship in Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Surgery. She received hands on training from stalwarts in the field of cataract, cornea and anterior segment here.
Her areas of interest are cataract surgery, multifocal IOLs, phakic IOLs, IPCLs, LASIK, PRK, corneal ulcers and corneal transplantation and glaucoma.
She has been a speaker at various conferences and CMEs and received several awards and certificates for the same.
She is currently working as a consultant at Eye and Retina Care Centre, Shankar Nagar and Kotwal Nagar branches and Anjani Eye Hospital, Ramdaspeth.
